Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lead production and manufacturing engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning product designs with the practicalities and constraints of our manufacturing process. This means developing systems and products that are both innovative and functional but also cost-effective and efficient to manufacture.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that meet strict deadlines and uphold our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the industrialization process ensuring designs are functional, robust, reliable and cost-effective

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to ensure designs meet production requirements

• Develop detailed design specifications, including material selection, tolerance analysis, and assembly procedures

• Conduct thorough feasibility studies and provide technical guidance to the team

• Ensure designs are delivered on time, meeting strict project deadlines

• Conduct design reviews and implement necessary changes to improve product performance and manufacturability

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Proven experience in mechanical design, with a focus on design for manufacture

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production techniques

• Ability to work under strict deadlines and deliver high-quality designs

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Prior experience in people management or team leadership is preferred
